Cindy Robinson (Florence Vassey) Cindy began her Broadway career in 1988 when after only 9 months in New York City, Stephen Sondheim cast her in the Broadway production of INTO THE WOODS where she appeared as Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Snow White as well as understudying the role of Cinderella. Immediately following the closing of INTO THE WOODS, Cindy was cast as Wendy in the National Tour of PETER PAN starring Cathy Rigby which went on to become the Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival at the historic Lunt-Fontanne Theatre and later at the Minskoff. There she appeared not only as Wendy, but also as Peter Pan. Her next stint on Broadway came when Nicholas Hytner placed her in the 1994 Lincoln Center revival of CAROUSEL which went on to win 5 Tony Awards that season including Best Revival of a Musical. She has toured nationally and internationally with PETER PAN (Wendy, Peter cover), EVITA (Eva, Mistress cover), and performed as Julie Jordan in the national tour of CAROUSEL. She has headlined in some of the most prestigious theatres across the nation. A few of her favorites include starring as Essie Whimple in REDHEAD at the Goodspeed Opera House, Annie Oakley in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN at Casa Manana in Ft. Worth, TX, Cunegonde in CANDIDE at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA and Emma in Andrew Lloyd Webber's SONG AND DANCE at Deaf West Theatre as well as many others. After spending 14 years traveling the country and calling New York and the footlights of Broadway home, Cindy moved to the West Coast and found her new passion: creating characters and the voices that make them come to life. Her voice talents can be heard on Discovery Kids’ “Tutenstein,” Warner Bros.” “The Little Polar Bear,” and as “Bunny” in the upcoming series “Dibo,” and on the WB’s “Gilmore Girls.” As well as many others. She has appeared in over 70 cartoon series on Cartoon Network, ShowtimeNext, DVD, etc. as well as on many children's educational audio books, multiple foreign films including the leading roles in “House of Flying Daggers” and “Bloody Mallory” and in multiple video games for Konami, Sony PlayStation and Disney. She is currently the voice of "Leap" for the very successful "Leap Frog" educational series and has also been heard as the singing voice of “Tad.” Also, check her out as the voice of “The Scrapbook Lounge” for Crafttvweekly.com. Most recently, Cindy became the Artistic Director of The Quest Theatre Company which is dedicated to presenting old favorites with a new twist or brand new cutting edge productions by exciting new playwrights.
